Everyday of the Year
Private Tour
The tours we offer are designed for those who prefer a relaxed pace, comprehensive insights from knowledgeable guides, local meals in small boutique restaurants (we avoid large bus group venues with open-buffet lunches), and a small group experience. If you prefer tours that visit many sites quickly, these may not align with your expectations.
Day 1 (Private Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)
Your adventure starts with an early hotel pick-up around 05:00 AM, followed by a transfer to either Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Upon landing, our driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to our office.
After a brief refreshment at our office, you'll set out to explore the enchanting region of Cappadocia, beginning with its most renowned attraction: the Goreme Open Air Museum. This site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, is home to some of the most exceptionally preserved rock-cut churches in the area. The journey then continues to Pasabag (Monks Valley), known for its distinctive mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. These fairy chimneys of Pasabag rank among the best-preserved examples locally, providing a clear insight into their natural formation process.
We will have our lunch at a local eatery in Avanos, where you can savor the renowned "Pottery Kebab." Following lunch, we will witness a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, a traditional craft practiced for nearly 4000 years. This art, originating from the Hittite civilization, remains an important part of the town's cultural identity. Next, we will explore the Zelve Open Air Museum. Your guide will share insights into the significance of Christianity and monastic traditions in Cappadocia. Although Zelve lacks the ornate frescoes found in other Cappadocian locations, it features a fascinating labyrinth of rooms and tunnels. The valley is also renowned for its many pointed "fairy chimneys," some reaching about 40 feet tall. Our excursion will conclude with a visit to Devrent Valley, a remarkable landscape where natural rock formations resemble various familiar shapes, including the famous camel-shaped rock. We will return to your hotel by around 4:00 PM. Overnight stay will be in Goreme.
Day 2 (Private Cappadocia Tour, breakfast and lunch included)
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a good start the day with sunrise.
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 10:00, and we will start a hike through the Red & Rose Valleys, two of the most breathtaking valleys in Cappadocia. During the walk, you will encounter numerous pigeon houses, stunning views of Uchisar Castle, and ancient rock-cut churches that date back over 1000 years. The hike will last about 1.5 hours and finish in Cavusin Village, an abandoned Greek settlement with spectacular views.
Cavusin Village was deserted in the 1950s due to rockfalls. After enjoying the panoramic views of the village, we will drive to the Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to take in the beautiful landscape. Afterwards, we will proceed to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a tasty lunch.
After a 30-minute drive, we will explore the Kaymakli Underground City, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Cappadocia. Kaymakli is renowned for its well-planned and intricate design, featuring living quarters, sleeping rooms, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and even a cemetery, all built to protect its residents.
Following this visit, our tour will conclude between 4:30 and 5:00 pm, and we will transport you back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Goreme.
Day 3 (Private Cappadocia Tour & Flight to Istanbul, including breakfast and lunch)
Our day starts with a 10:00 am pickup from your hotel. First, we will head to Ortahisar Panorama Point (Lavanta Panorama) to admire the spectacular views of Ortahisar Castle. Your guide will share insights about the area's history and geography.
Next, we will visit Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a historic village that was once inhabited by both Turkish and Greek communities until the enforced population exchange in 1924. Here, you will observe several old Greek houses, an Ottoman Madrasah, and an ancient church.
Afterward, we will proceed to the Keslik Monastery, a lesser-known but fascinating location. This monastery contains three churches from different periods that are worth exploring. The Church of Archangels is especially remarkable for its vivid paintings illustrating the lives of Jesus and Mother Mary. Finally, we will visit the Sobessos Excavation Site, where you can view a Roman bath, tombs, a temple, and beautiful mosaics that have been uncovered.
Next, we will head to the Soganli Valley, one of the quietest and most secluded valleys in Cappadocia. We will enjoy our lunch in this charming valley first. Following lunch, we will hike along one side of the valley, exploring several cave churches, then return along the opposite side back to the historic old village. After completing the hike, our tour will wrap up around 4:00 to 4:30 pm, and we will drive you to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Istanbul.
