Important Information

Our tours are ideal for travelers who enjoy a leisurely experience, in-depth commentary from expert guides, authentic local cuisine served in intimate boutique eateries (we steer clear of crowded buffet-style restaurants used by large tour buses), and the comfort of a small group setting. If you're seeking fast-paced tours that cover numerous locations in a short time, our style might not be the right match.

Itinerary Details

At 10:00, your guide and driver will pick you up directly from your hotel to begin exploring the wonders of enchanting Cappadocia. The journey starts with a visit to a panoramic lookout in Goreme, where you'll receive insights into the region’s unique landscape, volcanic origins, and rich cultural past. From this scenic vantage point, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Pigeon Valley, the Rose and Red Valleys, as well as the villages of Goreme and Uchisar.

After approximately 30 minutes of driving, we will arrive at the remarkable Kaymakli Underground City, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Cappadocia. The most striking feature of Kaymakli is the carefully planned, well-organized structure of the entire underground city. It includes everything from residential areas, sleeping quarters, stables, and communal kitchens to a church and a cemetery, all designed to ensure the safety and comfort of its inhabitants. After exploring this fascinating subterranean life, we will head to Pigeon Valley to enjoy panoramic views of Uchisar Castle and the valley.

We will enjoy our lunch at a cozy boutique restaurant in Avanos. Afterward, we will experience a kick-wheel pottery demonstration in Avanos, a craft that dates back 4000 years to the time of the Hittites. You will witness the entire process of pottery making, and you’ll have the chance to try creating your own piece. Next, we will visit Pasabag (Monks Valley), famous for its mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The fairy chimneys in Pasabag are among the best-preserved in the region, offering a perfect example of the formation process of fairy chimneys. Our guide will explain how these natural wonders were formed, using real-life examples to enhance your understanding.

Finally, we will explore Devrent Valley, where you’ll encounter the famous camel-shaped fairy chimney and many other unique formations that are unlike any others in the region. The tour will conclude around 17:00, after which we will drive you back to your hotel.
