Itinerary Details

The Cappadocia Highlights Tour , which includes lunch, begins at 09:30 from your hotel in Goreme, or slightly earlier from nearby towns (we will inform you of the exact pick-up time for other locations upon booking). The tour kicks off with a visit to the remarkable Goreme Open Air Museum, the most significant attraction in Cappadocia. This vast monastic complex features 9 ancient churches, each over 1,000 years old. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, our professional guide will share the historical background of both the region and the museum itself. After spending approximately 1.5 hours exploring the museum, the tour continues to the historical Cavusin Village. Once home to both Greek and Turkish communities, the village was significantly affected by the mandatory population exchange carried out in 1924. Our guide will explain the causes and consequences of this exchange and highlight the cultural connections between the two communities.

Next, we will head to the stunning Pasabag Fairy Chimneys, home to some of the most well-preserved formations in the Cappadocia region. Known also as "Monks Valley", Pasabag features an impressive collection of fairy chimneys with multiple caps. Our knowledgeable guide will explain the geological processes that led to the creation of these unique formations as well as the general landscape of the area. Following this stop, we will continue to Avanos to enjoy a delicious meal at a charming boutique restaurant.

After our lunch break, we will attend a traditional kick-wheel pottery demonstration in Avanos — an ancient craft dating back nearly 4000 years to the Hittite civilization. From there, we’ll take a scenic 30-minute drive to the extraordinary Kaymakli Underground City, regarded as one of the most impressive of its kind in Cappadocia. This underground marvel contains wine cellars, storage rooms, chapels, and living quarters, all carved deep into the earth. The tour concludes with a visit to Pigeon Valley, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley and the iconic Uchisar Castle. After this final stop, we will return you to your hotel around 5:00 PM.

The cost of this unforgettable tour is 175 Euro per person. Feel free to email us for more details or reach out via WhatsApp — we’ll get back to you promptly.

The tour is offered on private basis as well and you can check the details of the private version from here.
