Pamukkale is exceptional due to its combination of natural features, such as the warm, mineral-rich waters that flow from its springs and pools. This is also the location where Hierapolis was established, a remarkable example of a Graeco-Roman thermal complex. The Christian monuments here are fine examples of early Christian architectural structures.
The name Pamukkale, which translates to "cotton castle" in Turkish, refers to its stunning beauty, created by mineral deposits from the hot springs. The area is home to mineral forests, petrified waterfalls, and terraced pools resembling a natural nymphaeum, all of which are the result of the abundant minerals in this ancient site. It's no surprise that Pamukkale is one of Turkey's top tourist destinations.
The power of the hot springs in transforming the landscape was believed by the ancient Greeks to have healing properties, and during Roman times, a thermal station was constructed at the site. This historic location is known as the Hierapolis Ancient City, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Turkey.
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel around 09:00 am and take you to the Hierapolis Ancient City. During our visit, we will explore the largest necropolis (cemetery) in Turkey, the Domitian and Byzantium Gates, the Main Street, and the impressive theater with a seating capacity of 20,000. After touring the theater, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the Cleopatra Pool if you wish. Please note that an additional 10 Euro entrance fee is required for access to the pool. Once we finish exploring the ruins of the Hierapolis Ancient City, we will head to the Travertine terraces.
The travertine pools are unique natural formations created by thermal springs rich in calcium bicarbonate, chalk, and limestone. The travertines flow down the hills, forming cascades that closely resemble a frozen waterfall. The tour will conclude around 4:00 pm, and we will return you to your hotel.

After we receive your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and send you a travel voucher within 1 business day. You may pay the remaining balance before or after the trip in our agency's office. In our office, we accept all major currencies for cash payments, as well as Visa or MasterCard.

Cancellation Policy for Daily & Private Tours:
If you cancel 48 hours before the tour, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 48 hours to 24 hours before the tour, we will charge 50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the tour , we will charge the full amount as cancellation fee.
We cannot give any refund on no-shows for the tour.
