Itinerary Details

The Ottoman sultans and their court lived in Topkapi Palace up until the mid-19th century. Sultan Mehmed II, who conquered Constantinople, commissioned the construction of Topkapi Palace between 1460 and 1478 to serve as a residence for himself and his family. The palace functioned not only as the home of the Ottoman rulers but also as an important administrative hub, housing offices that managed both civil and military affairs. In essence, the complex operated like a small city, featuring administrative buildings and multiple courtyards.

We will collect you from your hotel in Sultanahmet at approximately 13:00 to begin the tour. Your visit will start at the Topkapi Palace, the historic residence of the Ottoman sultans situated on the slopes of Sarayburnu. This palace showcases a blend of diverse architectural styles. As Turkey’s most popular museum, you will have the opportunity to explore sections of the Ottoman Empire’s treasury, royal garments, and sacred artifacts. Please note that the Harem section is excluded from the tour and can be visited with an additional fee of 750 TL per person.

Our last destination will be the Hagia Irini Museum, situated within the Topkapı Palace gardens. This ancient building, constructed in the 4th century by Roman Emperor Constantine, stands as one of Istanbul’s oldest churches. Unlike many other Byzantine churches in the city, Hagia Irini was never converted into a mosque, allowing it to retain its original architectural design. The museum is famous for its exceptional acoustics and is frequently used for classical music performances today. Visitors can admire its grand dome, historic frescoes, and the distinctive fusion of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman architectural styles.

The price for this tour is 90 Euro per person. For further details, please contact us via email or reach out through our Whatsapp number, and we will get back to you promptl
