Itinerary Details

Day 1 (Private Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)

Your adventure starts with an early pick-up from your hotel around 05:00 AM, followed by a transfer to either Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, our driver will welcome you at the airport and escort you to our office.

After a brief refreshment break at our office, you will begin exploring the enchanting region of Cappadocia, starting with its most renowned attraction: the Goreme Open Air Museum. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, this site houses some of the most excellently preserved rock-cut churches in the region. The journey continues with a visit to Pasabag (Monks Valley), famous for its distinctive mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The fairy chimneys of Pasabag are among the best-maintained in the region and provide an excellent illustration of the formation process.

We will have our lunch at a traditional local restaurant in Avanos, where you can savor the famous "Pottery Kebab". Following lunch, we will witness a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, a craft that dates back around 4000 years. Originating from the Hittite civilization, this ancient art remains an important part of the town’s cultural heritage. Next, we will explore the Zelve Open Air Museum. Your guide will share insights about the significance of Christianity and monastic life in Cappadocia. Although Zelve lacks the richly decorated frescoes seen in other sites, it features a fascinating maze of rooms and tunnels. The valley is also well-known for its many tall, pointed "fairy chimneys," with some rising nearly 40 feet above the valley floor. Our excursion will conclude with a visit to Devrent Valley, a breathtaking area where natural rock formations take on various imaginative shapes, including the famous camel-shaped rock. We will head back to your hotel by around 4:00 PM. Overnight stay will be arranged in Goreme.

Day 2 (Private Cappadocia Tour, breakfast and lunch included)

Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a good start the day with sunrise.

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 10:00, and we will set off on a hike through the Red & Rose Valleys, two of Cappadocia’s most breathtaking landscapes. During the trek, you will encounter numerous pigeon houses, stunning vistas of Uchisar Castle, and ancient rock-cut churches that date back over 1000 years. The hike will last around 1.5 hours and finish in Cavusin Village, a deserted Greek settlement with spectacular views.

Cavusin Village was deserted in the 1950s due to rockfalls. After enjoying the panoramic views of the village, we will drive to Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to take in the magnificent scenery. Afterwards, we will visit a local restaurant where you can enjoy a tasty lunch.

Following a 30-minute drive, we will explore the Kaymakli Underground City, one of Cappadocia’s esteemed UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Kaymakli is renowned for its carefully designed and organized structure, featuring living spaces, bedrooms, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and even a cemetery, all fortified to safeguard its residents.

After this visit, the tour will conclude between 4:30 and 5:00 PM, and we will take you back to your hotel. Overnight stay will be in Goreme.

Day 3 (Private Cappadocia Tour & Flight to Istanbul, breakfast and lunch included)

The day starts with a 10:00 AM pick-up from your hotel. We will first drive to Ortahisar Panorama Point (Lavanta Panorama) to enjoy spectacular views of Ortahisar Castle. Your guide will share insights about the area’s history and geography.

Next, we will proceed to Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a community once inhabited by both Turkish and Greek residents until the mandatory population exchange in 1924. Here, you will see many historic Greek houses, an Ottoman Madrasah, and an old church.

Following this, we will visit the Keslik Monastery, a less frequented yet fascinating site featuring three churches of various ages. The Church of Archangels is especially remarkable for its detailed paintings illustrating the lives of Jesus and Mother Mary. Finally, we will explore the Sobessos Excavation Site, where you can admire the remains of a Roman bath, tombs, a temple, and exquisite mosaics that have been uncovered.

Next, we will visit Soganli Valley, known as one of the most tranquil and remote valleys in Cappadocia. We will start with lunch in this picturesque valley. After eating, we will hike along one side of the valley, exploring several cave churches, and then return on the opposite side to the historic old village. Following this valley hike, our tour will come to an end around 4:00 to 4:30 PM, and we will transfer you back to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Istanbul.
