Itinerary Details

Day 1 (Group Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your hotel at approximately 05:00am. Afterward, we will transfer you to either Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airport for a flight to Cappadocia. Once you arrive, our driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to our office.

After a brief refreshment at our office, your journey through the enchanting region of Cappadocia will begin, starting with its most renowned landmark: the Goreme Open Air Museum. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, this museum is home to some of the most well-preserved rock-hewn churches in the area. The tour will then proceed with a visit to Pasabag (Monks Valley), known for its distinctive mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The fairy chimneys of Pasabag are among the best-preserved in the region, showcasing a remarkable example of how these natural formations have developed.

We will savor our lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos, where you can sample the famous "Pottery Kebab." Afterward, we will witness a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, a craft that has been practiced for over 4000 years. Originating with the Hittites, this tradition has become a vital part of the town's cultural heritage. Next, we will explore the Zelve Open Air Museum. Your guide will share insights on the significance of Christianity and monastic life in Cappadocia. While Zelve may not have the intricately decorated frescoes found in other sites, it features an extensive network of rooms and passages. The valley is also renowned for its numerous pointed "fairy chimneys," with their stems soaring about 40 feet above the valley floor. Our tour will conclude with a visit to Devrent Valley, a breathtaking landscape where natural rock formations resemble various familiar shapes, including the iconic camel-shaped rock. We will return to your hotel by 4:00 PM. Your overnight accommodation will be in Goreme.

Day 2 (Group Cappadocia Tour, breakfast and lunch included)

Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a good start the day with sunrise.

Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel at 10:00, and we will start a hike through the Red & Rose Valleys, two of the most picturesque valleys in Cappadocia. During the hike, you'll come across several pigeon houses, spectacular views of Uchisar Castle, and ancient rock-cut churches that have been standing for over 1000 years. The hike will take about 1.5 hours and will end at Cavusin Village, an abandoned Greek village offering stunning vistas.

Cavusin Village was deserted in the 1950s due to falling rocks. After soaking in the panoramic views of the village, we will drive to the Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Next, we will make our way to a local restaurant for a tasty lunch.

After a 30-minute drive, we will explore the Kaymakli Underground City, one of Cappadocia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Kaymakli is particularly notable for its well-planned and organized layout, featuring living spaces, sleeping areas, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and even a graveyard, all carefully fortified to protect its residents.

Following this visit, our tour will conclude around 4:30-5:00pm, and we will drive you back to your hotel. Overnight accommodation will be in Goreme.

Day 3 (Group Cappadocia Tour & Flight to Istanbul, breakfast and lunch included)

Our tour begins at 10:00am with a pickup from your hotel. We will first head to the Ortahisar Panorama Point (Lavanta Panorama) to enjoy breathtaking views of Ortahisar Castle. Your guide will share insights about the history and geography of the area.

Next, we will drive to Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a village that was once home to both Turkish and Greek communities until the forced population exchange in 1924. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore numerous old Greek houses, an Ottoman Madrasah, and an ancient church.

After the visit, we will drive to the Keslik Monastery, a lesser-known yet fascinating site to discover. This monastery houses three churches from different periods, all worth exploring. The Church of Archangels stands out in particular, as it boasts remarkable paintings that depict the life of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. Following this, we'll proceed to the Sobessos Excavation Site, where you can view the Roman bath, tombs, temple, and beautiful mosaics that have been unearthed.

Next, we'll head to Soganli Valley, one of the most tranquil and remote valleys in Cappadocia. We will begin by enjoying lunch in this stunning valley. Afterward, we'll take a hike along one side of the valley, exploring several cave churches, and return via the opposite side of the valley to the ancient village. Once the hike through the valley is complete, our tour will conclude around 4:00-4:30pm, followed by a drive to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will greet you there and take you to your hotel in Istanbul.
