Private Tour
The tours we offer are designed for those who prefer a relaxed pace, comprehensive insights from knowledgeable guides, local meals in small boutique restaurants (we avoid large bus group venues with open-buffet lunches), and a small group experience. If you prefer tours that visit many sites quickly, these may not align with your expectations.
Day 1 (Private Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)
Your adventure starts with an early pick-up from your hotel around 05:00am, followed by a transfer to either Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Once you arrive, our driver will meet you at the airport and escort you to our office.
After a brief refreshment at our office, you will begin exploring the enchanting Cappadocia region, starting with its most famous attraction: the Goreme Open Air Museum. This remarkable site, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, features the finest preserved rock-cut churches in the area. Following this, we will visit Cavusin, a historic village where Greek and Turkish communities coexisted until 1924. You will discover this intriguing ancient Greek and Turkish village, which was inhabited until the 1950s before residents relocated due to rockfalls. The tour then proceeds to Pasabag (Monks Valley), famous for its distinctive mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The fairy chimneys in Pasabag are among the best preserved in the region and provide an excellent example of their natural formation.
We will have our lunch at a charming local restaurant in Avanos, where you will have the chance to taste the famous "Pottery Kebab". Following lunch, you will witness a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, an ancient craft practiced for nearly 4000 years. This tradition, dating back to the Hittites, remains an important cultural legacy of the town. Next, we will visit the Zelve Open Air Museum. Your guide will share insights on the role of Christianity and monastic life in Cappadocia. Although Zelve does not feature the richly decorated frescoes found at other sites, it boasts a fascinating network of rooms and tunnels. The valley is also renowned for its many pointed "fairy chimneys," whose stems tower approximately 40 feet above the valley floor. Our journey concludes with a stop at Devrent Valley, a breathtaking area where the natural rock formations take on various distinctive shapes, including the famous camel-shaped rock. We will return to your hotel around 4:00 PM. Overnight stay will be in Goreme.
Day 2 (Private Cappadocia Tour, Flight to Istanbul breakfast and lunch included)
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a good start the day with sunrise.
Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel at 10:00 to start a scenic hike through the Red & Rose Valleys, two of Cappadocia’s most breathtaking landscapes. During the walk, you will encounter numerous pigeon houses, spectacular views of Uchisar Castle, and ancient rock-cut churches that date back over 1000 years. The hike will take around 1.5 hours and finish at Cavusin Village, a deserted Greek settlement with stunning panoramic views.
Cavusin Village was abandoned in the 1950s because of rock falls. After enjoying the panoramic vistas of the village, we will proceed to Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to take in the magnificent scenery. Afterwards, we will visit a local restaurant to enjoy a tasty lunch.
Following a 30-minute drive, we will explore the Kaymakli Underground City, one of the distinguished UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Cappadocia. What stands out about Kaymakli is its carefully planned and well-structured design, featuring living spaces, bedrooms, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and a cemetery, all securely fortified to safeguard its residents.
Afterward, we will head to Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a historic settlement that was inhabited by both Turkish and Greek communities until the population exchange of 1924. Here, you will admire numerous traditional Greek homes, an Ottoman Madrasah, and an ancient church. The tour will wrap up around 4:30-5:00pm with transportation back to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Istanbul.
