Tour Privato
Day 1 (Private Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)
Your day starts with an early hotel pick-up around 05:00am, followed by a transfer to either Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport to catch your flight to Cappadocia. Upon landing, our driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to our office.
After a brief refreshment break at our office, your adventure in the enchanting Cappadocia region will begin, starting with the iconic Goreme Open Air Museum. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, this site showcases the finest preserved rock-cut churches in the region. Afterwards, we will visit Cavusin, a historic village once shared by Greek and Turkish communities until 1924. You will discover the old Greek and Turkish village, which was inhabited until the 1950s before the residents were relocated due to rockfalls. The tour proceeds to Pasabag (Monks Valley), famous for its distinct mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The Pasabag fairy chimneys are among the best-maintained formations, offering a clear insight into how these natural structures were formed.
We will have our lunch at a traditional local restaurant in Avanos, where you can savor the renowned "Pottery Kebab." Following lunch, you will witness a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, an ancient craft practiced for nearly 4000 years. This tradition, dating back to the Hittite era, remains a vital part of the town’s cultural identity. Afterwards, we will explore the Zelve Open Air Museum. Your guide will share insights about the significance of Christianity and monastic lifestyles in Cappadocia. Although Zelve lacks the elaborate frescoes seen at other sites, it features a fascinating maze of rooms and tunnels. The valley is also known for its impressive collection of tall, pointed "fairy chimneys," some rising approximately 40 feet above the valley floor. Our journey will conclude with a visit to Devrent Valley, a remarkable area where the rock formations resemble various distinct shapes, including the famous camel-shaped formation. We will return to your hotel by around 4:00 PM. Your overnight stay will be in Goreme.
Day 2 (Private Cappadocia Tour, Flight to Istanbul breakfast and lunch included)
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a good start the day with sunrise.
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 10:00, and we will set off on a hike through the Red & Rose Valleys, two of Cappadocia’s most breathtaking landscapes. During the hike, you will encounter numerous pigeon houses, stunning views of Uchisar Castle, and ancient rock-cut churches dating back over a millennium. The trek will take around 1.5 hours and will end in Cavusin Village, a deserted Greek settlement with spectacular vistas.
Cavusin Village was deserted in the 1950s because of rockfalls. After enjoying the panoramic views of the village, we will drive to the Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to take in the magnificent scenery. Next, we will stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy a tasty lunch.
After a 30-minute drive, we will visit the Kaymakli Underground City, one of Cappadocia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The most impressive feature of Kaymakli is its well-organized and structured layout, with living quarters, sleeping areas, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and even a graveyard, all fortified to protect its inhabitants.
Next, we will drive to Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a village that was home to both Turkish and Greek residents until the compulsory population exchange of 1924. You will see many old Greek houses, an Ottoman Madrasah, and an ancient church. After this visit, our tour will conclude around 4:30-5:00pm with a drive back to the airport for the flight back to Istanbul. After you land at the airport, our driver will meet you there and drive you to your hotel in Istanbul.
