Situated in the Mucur district, Lake Seyfe is a remarkable natural site located within a tectonic basin, approximately 30 km from Kirsehir and 220 km from Ankara. The lake features several islands that serve as nesting grounds for a variety of bird species.

Boasting natural vegetation, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and the spectacular view of bird flocks resting on its islands, the lake holds significant tourism potential, provided the required facilities and infrastructure are developed.

A total of 186 bird species have been recorded in the region, making it an ideal destination for bird enthusiasts. The presence of flamingos and numerous other birds creates breathtaking scenes, while hunting is strictly forbidden within the sanctuary.

Lake Seyfe has been classified as a first-degree natural protected area and is safeguarded under the international Ramsar Convention of 1994, which acknowledges wetlands of global importance. The protected zone encompasses 10,700 hectares, including both permanent and seasonal lake zones, with the conservation of its natural ecosystem and ecological integrity being a top priority.
