Insuyu Cave Situated 13 kilometers away from Burdur towards Antalya, Insuyu Cave is a horizontal cave system extending for a total of 597 meters. Positioned at an altitude of approximately 1200 meters above sea level, it lies on the northeast slopes of the Western Taurus Mountains. The cave is formed within limestone rock and is thought to have developed over thousands of years through the gradual buildup of limestone deposits. Inside the cave, there are 9 lakes of varying sizes located in different chambers that open in multiple directions, with a continuous flow of cool, fresh air circulating throughout. Over time, the dissolution of limestone and erosion processes within the cave have resulted in the formation of impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The water found within the cave is thought to possess healing effects for diabetes and digestive ailments, especially when combined with medicinal herbs.
