Deveciler Inn The Deveciler Inn, also referred to as the Fatih Mehmet Pasha Inn, is located in the heart of Tokat city center, south of the Takyeciler Mosque and west of the Yağıbasan Madrasa. While the inn does not have an inscription, it is believed to have been built during the reign of either Çelebi Mehmet (1413-1421) or Murat (1421-1451), based on historical architectural analysis. The two-story Deveciler Inn has an entrance located in the center of the northern side, with a dome-covered area in front of the door, featuring niches decorated with muqarnas ornamentation. On the east side of the inn, there are ten shops, while the west side holds five shops. Visitors can enter the courtyard through any of the doorways, which lead to 27 rooms and one toilet below, and 55 rooms and two toilets above. Each room is equipped with a cupboard niche and a stove. On the east side of the inn, there are two large vaulted camel racks. The Develik section on the west side of the courtyard is used as a concert and conference hall and also hosts courses from Gaziosmanpaşa University's conservatory. Visitors are welcome to explore this section of the inn as well. Situated along the historic Silk Road, the Deveciler Inn once offered single-occupancy rooms for travelers, whether for business or leisure, long before modern travel facilities were available.
