The landscape and glacial features of the Cilo-Sat Mountains bear a striking resemblance to the Alps. These high elevations showcase the impacts of glacial activity and water erosion. The region is home to ten glaciers, with Izbirak being the largest. This glacier stretches over five kilometers in length, spans 500-600 meters in width, and reaches depths of up to 100 meters at its highest point.

Alpine meadows, situated at altitudes between 2000 and 3100 meters, serve as the main grazing areas for livestock in the region. The climate of the Cilo-Sat Mountains is both awe-inspiring and beautiful. As a geological marvel, the peaks attract tourists from around the globe, especially during the summer months. Protected as part of a national park, the winter season provides perfect climbing conditions, allowing adventurers to experience a captivating environment.

The culture in this part of Turkey is known as "yayla", which has developed across the vast plateau of the Cilo and Sat Mountains. A notable tradition in the region is the migration of locals to higher pastures during the summer months. These areas are filled with people adorned in vibrant clothing, often draped in colorful textiles. Natural wonders, including glaciers, fast-flowing rivers, and stunning glacier lakes, hold a special place in Turkish culture, admired for their breathtaking beauty despite their often harsh natural environment.
