Bogazici Eski Mosque

Boğaziçi Eski Mosque is located in the town of Baklan within Denizli Province. This mosque features three naves and was built in 1772. The lower portion of the walls is made of stone, while the upper sections are covered with mudbrick.

The mosque boasts a richly adorned interior, with wall paintings and architectural representations that reflect the artistic style prevalent in Anatolia during the late eighteenth century.

Boğaziçi Eski Mosque features a rectangular layout with stunning ceiling and wooden beam decorations. The walls are beautifully designed, combining Turkish wood, decoration, and carving artistry in a harmonious way.

The mosque's wooden pulpit remains simple, while the ceiling and supporting structures are adorned with intricate hand-carved designs.

Both the interior and exterior walls are reinforced by square wooden columns. The mihrab has a semi-circular shape and is topped with a muqarnas canopy. The wooden pulpit inside the mosque is unembellished, and the ceiling along with the supporting beams is richly detailed with hand-carved decorations.
