Everyday of the Year
Small Group Tours (max. 6 people)
The tours we offer are designed for those who prefer a relaxed pace, comprehensive insights from knowledgeable guides, local meals in small boutique restaurants (we avoid large bus group venues with open-buffet lunches), and a small group experience. If you prefer tours that visit many sites quickly, these may not align with your expectations.
Day 1 (Group Cappadocia Tour, lunch included)
Your journey begins with an early pick-up from your hotel around 05:00am, where we will transfer you to either Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airport for a flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and take you to our office.
After a short refreshment at our office, you will embark on a tour of the magical region of Cappadocia, starting with its most iconic landmark: the Goreme Open Air Museum. This site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985 and is home to the best-preserved rock-cut churches in the region. Next, we'll head to Cavusin, a village where Greek and Turkish people lived together until 1924. You'll explore this fascinating old Greek and Turkish settlement, which remained inhabited until the 1950s before being relocated due to falling rocks. The tour continues with a visit to Pasabag (Monks Valley), renowned for its unique mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. The fairy chimneys of Pasabag are some of the best-preserved in the area, offering a perfect example of how these formations evolved.
We will enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos, where you can taste the region’s famous dish — the "Pottery Kebab." After lunch, we will witness a traditional kick-wheel pottery demonstration, a unique art form that dates back nearly 4000 years. Originating with the Hittites, this ancient craft has become an integral part of Avanos culture and heritage. Our journey will then take us to the Zelve Open Air Museum, where your guide will share insights into the significance of Christianity and monastic life in Cappadocia. While Zelve may lack the vivid frescoes found in other sites, it impresses with its intricate network of rooms and interconnected passages. The valley is also renowned for its striking fairy chimneys — tall, pointed rock formations that rise up to 40 feet above the ground. To conclude the day, we will visit the breathtaking Devrent Valley, where you’ll see a surreal landscape filled with rock formations that resemble familiar shapes, including the well-known camel-shaped rock. We will return to your hotel at approximately 4:00 PM. Overnight accommodation will be in Goreme.
Day 2 (Group Cappadocia Tour, Flight to Istanbul breakfast and lunch included)
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight in the early morning can be a wonderful way to start the day with the sunrise.
Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel at 10:00 AM, and we will begin a scenic hike through the Red & Rose Valleys — two of the most breathtaking valleys in Cappadocia. Along the trail, you will encounter numerous pigeon houses, enjoy spectacular views of Uchisar Castle, and discover rock-cut churches that date back over 1000 years. This unforgettable hike will last approximately 1.5 hours and will end in the fascinating Cavusin Village, an abandoned Greek settlement known for its remarkable views.
Cavusin Village was deserted in the 1950s due to the risk of falling rocks. After soaking in the panoramic scenery of the village, we will drive to the Uchisar Castle Viewpoint to admire more of the region’s natural beauty. We will then head to a local restaurant where a delicious lunch awaits.
After a short 30-minute drive, we will arrive at the fascinating Kaymakli Underground City, one of Cappadocia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This remarkable city is renowned for its well-organized and strategic layout, featuring distinct areas such as living quarters, sleeping chambers, stables, communal kitchens, a church, and even a graveyard — all ingeniously designed and fortified to ensure the safety of its ancient inhabitants.
Next, we will drive to the charming Mustafapasa (Sinasos) Village, a historically rich settlement that was once shared by both Turkish and Greek residents until the compulsory population exchange in 1924. During our visit, you’ll have the opportunity to explore many old Greek houses, an Ottoman-era Madrasah, and an ancient church, each offering a glimpse into the village’s unique cultural blend. After this cultural experience, our tour will conclude around 4:30–5:00 PM with a comfortable drive back to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Istanbul for the final part of your journey.
