Surp Yerotutyun or The Holy Trinity Church The Holy Trinity Church, also called Surp Yerotutyun, is an Armenian church located in the historic Armenian district of Sivrihisar within the Eskişehir province of Turkey. It stands as one of the largest Armenian churches in the country and remained in active use until the 1915s. Constructed in 1650, the Holy Trinity Church endured extensive damage caused by a fire in 1876. It was later rebuilt in 1881 by the architect Mintes Panoyat under the guidance of Patriarch Nerses II. Sadly, after 1915, the church fell into disuse and was left to deteriorate. Although a restoration attempt failed in 2001, work on reconstructing the dome commenced in 2010, and the church officially reopened in 2015. The church features a rectangular layout oriented from east to west, consisting of three naves inside. Its entrance is flanked by bell towers on either side, while the exterior walls display earth-tone figures and saintly imagery. The baptismal room for infants is situated in the northeastern corner, alongside chambers reserved for the clergy.
