Kirikkale Sharp Pan Description and Distinguishing Features of the Product: Pan cooking represents a rich and established tradition of preparing meat throughout Anatolia. It is widely believed that meat cooked in a pan boasts an exceptional taste. As a result, many cities have developed their own distinctive pan dishes with unique techniques. Kırıkkale Keskin Tava is a meat specialty crafted by the local community for generations and is enjoyed with great enthusiasm. It remains one of the most favored dishes among both locals and visitors from across Turkey and abroad. Production Method: Ingredients for Kırıkkale Keskin Tava: • 1 kg lamb chops • 4 tomatoes • 2 heads of garlic • 4 green peppers (preferably hot) • 2 tablespoons butter • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes Cooking Method: Begin by greasing a baking dish. Then, slice the peppers and tomatoes and spread them evenly on the dish. Break the garlic heads into pieces and add them to the tray. The locally sourced lamb and beef from Kırıkkale are carefully arranged over the vegetables. Small pats of butter are placed on top of the meat. Next, sprinkle salt and red pepper flakes evenly over the meat. Cover the tray tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for one hour. During the last 10 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking uncovered to achieve a nice finish.
