Production Method: Ingredients for 4-5 servings of Erzurum Turnip Stuffed Dish: For the filling: - 1 kg turnips - 500 g minced meat - 70 g rice - 1 medium-sized onion - 3 cloves of garlic - 3 g basil - 4.5 g black pepper - 6 g red pepper flakes - 16 g salt For the sauce: - 30 g butter - 18 g tomato paste Turnips are sliced into circular pieces about 5 mm thick. They are boiled in water for 10 minutes and then drained. Allow them to cool. For the filling, combine minced meat, rice, and other ingredients in a bowl. Take approximately 30-40 grams of the mixture, shape it flat, and place it between two slices of turnip. Arrange the stuffed turnips in a pot. In a pan, melt butter and add tomato paste to sauté. Pour the mixture over the stuffed turnips. Add enough water to cover the stuffed turnips. To keep them intact, place a plate on top, cover the pot, and cook for 25-30 minutes.
