Production Method:

Ingredients for Arapgir Deli Kız Baklavası (serving 6): - 10 sheets of griddle-cooked yufka bread - 300 g butter - 300 g grape molasses - 350 g crushed walnuts - 50 ml water Ingredients for Yufka Bread: - 300 g wheat flour - 400 ml water

Preparation of Yufka Bread: The wheat flour and water are mixed in a large bowl and kneaded until a moderately firm dough is formed. The dough is then divided into 10 portions, each rolled out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 2-2.5 mm, and cooked on a griddle until done.

Preparation of the Dessert: In a separate bowl, butter is melted on the stove, then grape molasses and water are added, creating a sweet syrup.

One cooked yufka is placed in a baking tray, and a thin layer of the butter-molasses mixture is spread over it. A generous sprinkle of crushed walnuts is added on top. This layering process is repeated until all of the yufka layers are used up. After the final layer is placed, the remaining butter-molasses mixture is spread over the top, and optionally, more crushed walnuts are sprinkled. Let the dessert rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into carrot-shaped pieces for serving.
