Product Description and Distinguishing Features:

Production Method:

Planting: Prior to setting up a new olive plantation, essential soil and land preparations such as deep plowing, leveling, terracing, and drainage are carried out. It's important to ensure that each tree is positioned to receive maximum sunlight. For the Akhisar Uslu olive variety, known for its wide canopy, the recommended planting distances are 6x8 meters or 7x7 meters. Planting pits are prepared according to specific guidelines. In this region, the ideal time for planting olive trees spans from November to April, although in colder climates, planting is best scheduled for March or April.

To create planting holes, a planting board measuring 1.50 meters in length with notches on both ends and one in the center is used. The central notch is aligned with the reference stake, and two more stakes are placed at the end notches. After removing the board and the central stake, a planting hole is dug between the two outer stakes. The hole should be approximately 80x80 cm in size. Expanding the hole further helps promote faster root development. When digging, it’s important to separate the topsoil and subsoil.

Prior to planting, seedlings in nylon bags must be thoroughly watered to avoid the soil crumbling and to protect the roots from air exposure. To support the healthy and balanced growth of the young trees, basic fertilization should be applied directly into the planting holes. Therefore, it is essential to perform a soil analysis on the land before planting begins.
